What Makes the Big City Heat Series Special?
This series is special to me for several reasons. I set out to write a firefighter romance series about an alpha chief who ran a tight ship, and Chance was born. While I was mulling through the story in my head, the character of Alexandria came along. I suddenly had a strong female heroine to keep him on his toes.
More than anything I wanted the series to reflect real life situations that people sometimes find themselves in, while still keeping it an enjoyable read. At the same time, it’s full of action, suspense, and romance – the kinds of things that keep me turning the pages.
What Order Should I Read the Books In?
Big City Heat is a serial. To get the most out of your reading experience its best to read them in the following order
•Light My Fire
•I’m On Fire
•Ring of Fire
There may be more titles coming in the series depending on where the characters take me. Maybe Chance and Alexandria have more of their story to tell, or maybe one of the other characters in the station house will warrant a spin-off in the series.

This is a great serial! If you love firefighter stories, you will enjoy this saga of Alex, Chance, and her daughter, Emily. Spoilers bother some people including authors, even though I read the stories that I love regardless, so I will not reveal the story; however, the first great episode introduces us to this couple who knew each other long ago when he teased her unmercifully. We know why boys do that to girls so in this case, he never lost interest in her. In this episode, Chance gets a chance to save not just Alex but Emily too. Alex will not let Chance get too physical until her divorce so she is off to the Caribbean for a quickie but where is Allison? I received an ARC in lieu of an honest review. I honestly love this story and this serial!
Book two in Big City Heat series. This book starts from were the first book ends so you will have to read
Light My Fire first you won't be sorry that you started to read this series.
Chance's crew get called out to a fire. When they get to the address where the fire is Chance
Is shocked to find that it is Alex's house on fire. He couldn't see Alex or her daughter so he goes
in and finds them just in time.
There relationship is going find until Chance put the move on Alex because it did not feel
right still being married. She forgives him so things get back on track with them.
This book ends on a cliff hanger will Alax get on the plane to get a divorce so she can be with Chance.
Can't wait for book three to see what happens
Received this book for an honest review
Book 2 picks up right where the first one left off. When Chance's crew gets called out on a fire, he's shocked to find out it is at Alex's house. So shocked in fact, that one of his crew needs to snap him out of it in order for them to go and save one of their own. The whole rescue is high drama that will have you on the edge of your seat while reading.
As the story progresses, we get to see how Chance's feelings for Alex are growing, and what he does to ensure she knows just how she feels. At first she is still a little skittish, but she is willing to give him the chance he deserves. We get to see how they are able to develop a relationship and the feelings and chemistry that burn between the two fire fighters.
There is much going on in this book, so I don't want to give anything away, but you won't be disappointed. The book does have a cliffhanger type of ending, but I'm pretty sure I can guess how book 3 is going to start!!

This book was enjoyable. I really liked being able to see the story continue where Light My Fire A Firefighter Romance left off (especially considering the huge cliffhanger that book included). In this book we get to watch Chance and Alex's relationship progress. They got through their first date in book 1 and in book 2 we get to see several more of their dates. After the fire catastrophe, Alex and Emily find themselves in a hotel. We also learn that Chance's finances aren't quite what you'd expect. After a date at an excellent restaurant followed by some dancing at the club, Alex and Chance start to get a little hot and heavy in his vehicle only for Alex to pull back, making Chance rather angry. (On a whole, Chance manages to make an a** of himself on several occasions that night.) Thankfully the two are able to reconcile despite Chance's asinine responses to some of the events of the night and Alex begins the divorce process with Mike. By the end of the book, Chance and Alex are once again going strong and falling deeper for one another. The characters aren't the most complex I've ever seen, but they are definitely not two-dimensional. This book is a light, quick, easy read. If you enjoyed book 1, you'll enjoy this one as well. Similarly, if you have enjoyed Misha Carver's other works, you should enjoy this. The book does end in a huge cliffhanger, but things are definitely going in the right direction on all counts. I will definitely be eagerly awaiting book 3!
I liked the book and the series, I just don't think it was long enough. Having six lines on a page is not a full page to me
Loving the series, Chance is a fire chief that has been unlucky in love, while Alex is a firefighter that has only been with her high school sweetheart. Read as they try to keep a complicated situation as level as they can while handling all that life throws at them.
I really like this author. It was an okay book, stories repeated themselves with different names. I gave it 4 stars because the first part of the book was pretty good.
